Brunswick Stew and Fall Festival

Fall is in the air and you can almost smell the Brunswick stew cooking. This year, we will be out bright and early on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 8 a.m. through1 p.m..

In addition to that delicious stew, we will enjoy the usual Festival fun. The day will feature a silent auction, including a handmade quilt donated by the Friendship Quilters; a Bake Sale, Yard Sale, some vendors, Roger’s Grill (breakfast and lunch) and, of course, stew.

Our Brunswick stew by the quart is $7 if you pre-order and $8 the day of the Festival. Last year we sold all the stew before noon, so don’t forget to place your order early! There’s an order form on our web site and available in the narthex.

Click here to read more; click here to send a pre-order email. Please put your name and the number of quarts you want to pre-order into the text of the email.

FunRaisers Bag Lunches

Pick up yours after worship services on Oct. 26. Menu: beef and cheddar sandwich, macaroni salad, cheese balls, cheese cake. Sign up today in the narthex or call the church office at 266-5341.

Be still, and know that I am God! I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth. - Psalm 46:10 (NRSV)

Each time you face a choice today, pause for a few seconds to consider how your decision can serve God's purposes.

Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as you ever can.  -- Attributed to Methodist Founder John Wesley

As the people of God, we are called to develop our faith through the understanding of God’s love and to be a church dedicated to prayer.

We believe that Christ is calling us to serve by being present and welcoming to all, regardless of ethnic, cultural or economic background.

God calls us to give our time, talent and monetary resources to proclaim effectively the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
