Celebrating Our Past, Cultivating Our Future

With a 151 legacy in the Longdale community of Glen Allen, Greenwood is proud of its history. This page will share events as recent as last month in our TwigBender archive and as far back as May 4, 1874 when our members first gathered as described in our history section volumes I, II, and III. We are honored to share our story with you and we invite you to help us create the next chapters.

Our Mission Statement

The Mission of the United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus
Christ for the transformation of the world. At Greenwood we live into this
mission seeking to more:
â–ª Loving - of God, our neighbors, and ourselves
â–ª Growing - in our discipleship through spiritual formation
â–ª Serving - our local community and people around the world
We believe the journey of faith is lifelong and we know that we need to
participate in the Body of Christ as much as we need the other members
to achieve this mission.
